Love this Mixed media fused glass and drift wood sculpture. Really cute family of birds made of transparent shades of blue glass. Beautiful reflections of color when displayed in a window. Wonderful gift for the expectant parent or the person just waiting for the spring. Mommy is feeding her little ones!
As usual, my art is original starting with a concept drawing, hand cut and scored art class. Each piece of glass is washed, dried and assembled in layers with special hight temp wire sandwiched between the art glass and clear glass. Then each bird was fired in a full fuse schedule creating one thick and strong piece of glass.
This piece measures 7 1/2" X 5 1/2"
The drift wood has been harvested from the wonderful Canandaigua lake located in Western NY.

Then each bird was fired in a full fuse schedule creating one thick and strong piece of glass.
