This is a fun sun catcher to hang in a window of your home, patio or Christmas tree. The sun catcher was crafted using clear, translucent blue, black and yellow art glass. The wing is in green glass. Painted eyes were added before firing to give the cute expression.
After putting the hand cut pieces together, it was fired in kiln at my home studio on a full fuse schedule. After cooling came the drilling of holes and assembling all the elements of 18 gage copper wire to craft the hanger and dangling legs that move in the breeze.
Measures from top of hanger to bottom of birdie feet is 4" H, 3 1/4" from beak to tail feathers.
