This is a fun sun catcher to hang in a window of your home, patio or Christmas tree. The sun catcher was crafted using clear, streaky green and pink glass featuring red glass for the fish lips. Painted eyes and dots were added before firing to give the cute expression.
After stacking the hand cut pieces together, it was fired in kiln at my home studio on a full fuse schedule. After cooling came the drilling of holes and assembling all the elements of 18 gage wire to craft the hanger embellished with beads to add more interest.
Measures from top of hanger to bottom of fin 8" H, 3" from fish lips to tail fin. Enjoy by hanging in a protected area. All my glass art is fully annealed in my kiln for optimal strength. However, it is still glass and can break under extreme conditions. This is not intended to be exposed to high wind areas. As usual, please hand wash when necessary. This is not intended for children.
